Players covet the sounds of vintage single coil pickups for their bright, cutting tone that fits in just about any style. The new Fishman Fluence series provides that same tone without the hum that has plagued single-coils from the beginning! Using a special construction that eschews the traditional copper wire windings, the Fluence pickup provides two classic, full bodied single-coil sounds in one pickup. A clear, yet present vintage sound is perfectly complemented by a hotter "Texas" style tone that's easily accessible with the flick of a switch. The pickups are powered by a 9 volt battery or an optional lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack that provides weeks of playing time.
