Kartell Prince AHA Stool, Pigeon

Description

Philippe Starck's Prince AHA Stool from the Kartell label is a truly original piece of furniture design that will add a creative touch wherever you choose to place it. Created by a genuine furniture design legend, it displays Starck's customary mastery of form, along with a whimsical, lighthearted side. Starck's pieces are marked by his use of plastics to create interesting shapes. Where others might have used wood or metal, Starck specialises in making plastics resemble other materials in inventive ways. In this case, the Prince AHA Stool is made from polypropylene plastic but looks like a ceramic piece thanks to its clever finish and finely chosen proportions. The stool has a height of 43cm, so will tuck away beneath most tables. With a base diameter of 30cm, it will not take up much floor space either, while the weight of 2.4 kg is light enough to easily move it wherever makes sense. All of Starck's furniture creations are defined by harmony and an exquisite sense of form. This disciplined approach is on display here, with the mirrored structure of this Kartell stool.
