The Kirk LP-47 Lens Plate is designed to take the place of the original tripod collar foot of a Nikon 500mm f/4 AF-S (I & II) or 200-400 f/4 AF-S VR lens and to convert the collar to make it directly compatible with Arca-type quick release clamps without the. The foot is 0.875 shorter than the original Nikon foot which helps to lower its center of gravity. Each adapter comes complete with all the necessary hardware and tools to make the conversion. Critical mass is also reduced but the original Nikon design is still maintained which allows it to still be used as a carrying handle.
