Tiffen 4x5x22 Yellow 2 #8 Glass Filter for Black & White Film #8, 4x5x22 458Y2

Description

It’s reactive with most of the alloys used in our precious gear, and degrades into a hard cheesy mess over time.Anyway, Tiffen filters have never disappointed, and are a fine choice, compared to the pricier brands. My only minor gripe is they use aluminum instead of brass rims, which can lead to more frequent jamming, unless extra care is used when installing them. Modern emulsions are better, but still benefit visually with the use of a Wratten #8, a.k.a. In a world, they would use brass for their rims, and maintain their price point. K2 yellow filter. Being a throwback stubbornly devoted to film, my lenses always have a #8 aboard, whenever I’m making black and white images, unless other contrast control filters are needed for specific circumstances.I can’t say I have done any technical comparisons between.
